Mike Reeb w/ Jeremy Messersmith

Fathers, hide your daughters because two of the Midwest's most talented indie-heart throbs are playing tomorrow night (Thursday November 16) at The Joshua House, on 224 Russel Street in West Lafayette.

I believe this is Jeremy Messersmith's second time through Lafayette, last time I saw him, was also in Joshua House and he absolutely blew me away. He uses looping pedals and a super kawaii baby casio to incorporate lo-fi electronic beats and bleeps into his music, all which complement his voice and bold guitar playing very well. Look out for some extra special covers during the night (I'm banking on a Sigur Ros cover) as well as some material from his new album.

Mike Reeb

As for Mike Reeb, a man who wears the same cut of denim as myself, expect bold passionate songs teeming with small town charm, love, faith and life experiences. If you didn't catch him during the summer as the resident crooner at Crawdaddies, or at at the release show for his new record. "Without the City Lights"at Downtown Records, then shame on you and your mother. Come out and see him play tomorrow!
